November 2006 Rev 2 1/5 www.st.com Description of the evaluation board AN2153 1 Description of the evaluation board The DEMO TS4984FC is an evaluation board designed for the TS4984FC stereo low power audio amplifier with dedicated standby pins. The compact and power dissipation efficient flip-chip package (15 bumps), makes it suitable for various applications. The BTL gain (Av) is set at 2V/V for both channels and can be adapted if necessary with a modification of R1 (R4) or R2 (R5) values for the Left (Right) channel. Channel Gain (V/V) R2 Left Av = 2 ---- R1 R5 Right Av = 2 ---- R4 On the board, the R3 (R6) and C3 (C6) component locations are empty to allow the user to change both input configurations from single-ended to differential. To set up for use in differential mode, R7 (R8) must be modified. The C2 (C5) component location is also empty in order to add a low-pass filter if required. Table 1.
