74VHC00 -- Quad 2-Input NAND Gate February 2008 74VHC00Quad 2-Input NAND Gate Features General Description High Speed: t = = PD 3.7ns (typ.) at TA 25°C The VHC00 is an advanced high-speed CMOS 2-Input High noise immunity: V = = NAND Gate fabricated with silicon gate CMOS technol- NIH VNIL 28% VCC (min.) Power down protection is provided on all inputs ogy. It achieves the high-speed operation similar toequivalent Bipolar Schottky TTL while maintaining the Low noise: V = OLP 0.8V (max) CMOS low power dissipation. The internal circuit is com- Low power dissipation: I = = CC 2µA (max.) at TA 25°C posed of 3 stages, including buffer output, which provide Pin and function compatible with 74HC00 high noise immunity and stable output. An input protec-tion circuit insures that 0V to 7V can be applied to theinput pins without regard to the supply voltage. Thisdevice can be used to interface 5V to 3V systems andtwo supply systems such as battery backup. This circuitprevents device destruction due to mismatched supplyand input voltages.
