AN2521 Application note 19 V - 75 W laptop adapter with tracking boost PFC pre-regulator, using the L6563 and L6668 Introduction This application note describes the characteristics and features of a 75 W wide range input mains and power-factor-corrected ac-dc adapter evaluation board. Its electrical specification is tailored to a typical high-end portable computer power adapter. The distinctive attributes of this design are the very low standby input consumption (< 0.3 W at 265 V), the excellent global efficiency (> 85%) for a two stage architecture and the low cost.
