The MAX9851/ +2.6V to +5.5V Class D Speaker Amplifier MAX9853 provide stereo DirectDriveTM headphone Operation (Direct from Battery) amplifiers, a mono receiver speaker amplifier, stereo Low 26mW Quiescent Power Consumption Class D speaker amplifiers (MAX9851 only), stereo dif- (Playback) ferential line outputs (MAX9853 only), microphone input amplifiers, plus flexible input selection and gain control. High 98dB Power-Supply Rejection Ratio Two serial digital audio interfaces are included, one 8kHz to 48kHz Sample Rate (Replay and Record) intended to accept voiceband data and the other Stereo 18-Bit ADC and DAC accepting I2S data. The voiceband interface can be Low-Noise Stereo Microphone Inputs and Stereo reconfigured as needed to act as a secondary I2S feed Line Inputs input--allowing multiple audio source mixing of ringertones or other audio at different sample rates. A trans- Dual Source Digital Mixing (DAC) ducer/vibrator signal can be derived from digital audio. Selectable Voiceband Filter for Recording/Playback Modes The stereo digital-to-analog converter (DAC) pathincludes filtering and mixing, programmable-gain ampli- Digital Filtering, Soft Mute, and Volume Control fiers (PGA), soft muting, and optional voiceband digital Low-Noise, High-PSRR Microphone Bias filtering. The MAX9851/MAX9853 accept up to two digital Generator audio inputs at different sample rates. All analog inputs Stereo DirectDrive Headphone Amplifier have PGAs on the front end, allowing dynamic range (2 x 50mW) optimization with a wide range of input sources.
