Part Details:

19-0644; Rev 1; 12/06 4-Channel I2C Switches/Multiplexer MAX7367/MAX7368/MAX7369 General Description Features The MAX7367/MAX7368/MAX7369 bidirectional, four- Four-Channel, Bidirectional Bus Expansion channel I2C switches/multiplexer expand the main I2C Voltage-Level Translation bus up to four extended buses. The MAX7369 1:4 Low 6µA (typ) Supply Current, 0.1µA (typ) multiplexer connects the main I2C bus to one channel Standby Current at a time. The MAX7367/MAX7368 four-channel Low 16 (typ) On-Resistance switches connect the main I2C bus to one or morechannels at a time. Channel Selection Through I2C I2C-Compatible Normal or Fast Mode These devices isolate bus loading by extending the I2Cbus onto different channels. The MAX7367/MAX7368/ Device Address Selection MAX7369 allow more devices to be interconnected to a Up to Four Addresses (MAX7367)Up to Eight Addresses (MAX7368/MAX7369) master controller and multiple devices with the sameI2C address to communicate to a master. The channels Bus-Loading Isolation are selected through the main I2C bus by writing to the Support Clock Stretch, Synchronization, and internal control register of the device. Arbitration Any device connected to an I2C bus can transmit and Hot Insertion receive signals. The MAX7367/MAX7368/MAX7369 are 2.3V to 5.5V Supply Voltage Range transparent to signals sent and received at each chan- 5V-Tolerant Inputs nel, allowing multiple masters. All devices are set to the default state during initialpower-up. The MAX7367/MAX7368 have a RESET input Ordering Information allowing external circuitry to set the MAX7367/MAX7368to its default state anytime after the device has pow- PIN- PKG PART TEMP RANGE ered up.
